Remote Computer Subfolders not available

May 30, 2012 at 3:41 PM

I think this is a great project and I had used the previous 1.0 version for Windows 2003 server to view and manage tasks.  I had recently found this and in trying it out I have been able to remotely connect to Windows 2008 R2 servers, and see tasks at the root level, but not able to see any tasks from any subfolder.

I have tried form both a Windows XP 32bit and Windows 7 64bit system to see and get information from tasks.  I would also want to be able to create tasks in those folders as well.

Current the server tasks and folders were setup manually and not using any 3rd party product.

I have tried many different ways of seeing remote tasks in folders using this class structure and had no success.  Below is just an example of the variety of things I was trying.  If I move the task I want to use in the root folder I do see it, but still nothing in the sub folders.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

   Dim mtask As TaskService = Nothing
    Dim fold As TaskFolder
    Dim f As TaskFolderCollection
    If mtask Is Nothing Then
      mtask = New TaskService("\\" & mTaskSrv)
    End If
    For Each tf As TaskFolder In mtask.RootFolder.SubFolders
      For Each tf2 As TaskFolder In tf.SubFolders
        Console.WriteLine("  -" & tf2.Path)
        For Each tf3 As TaskFolder In tf2.SubFolders
          Console.WriteLine("  -  - " & tf3.Path)
    fold = mtask.RootFolder
    f = fold.SubFolders
    For Each t As Task In mtask.RootFolder.Tasks

    mSchTask = mtask.FindTask(taskname)

Do you see folders enumerated but no tasks are found within them or do you not even see folders?
